  i had been having bad gas for a few days...when i mean bad, i mean clear the room bad and call in hazmat, it was so bad my dog left the room crying.. anyway, i was at the mall and i had to let one go and a man passed by and he said, "dam, they must be repairing the sewage pipes.

  " i said, yeah, huh.

  i was having a bad day but i just had to laugh.

  Champagne recommendations anyone?

  let's just say that one is planning on taking a loved one to a nice suite for the weekend overlooking the ocean at a fairly upscale hotel on the mid-atlantic.

  and, let's just say that if one wanted to order a nice bottle of champagne...the good stuff.....i've had pol roget or sparkling wine.

  but, any suggestions on a really good french champagne?

  I never liked any of the new songs from the Sing Praises released in 1984(!) songbook....I preferred the pink songbook....deluxe edition... with the gold edged paper...Songs 1 through 119......That's it....only 119 songs to choose from. But, of course some songs were used more than others....After the Sing Praises songbook was released, there was too many new songs to learn, and I thought that most of them sucked.

  MY OBSERVATIONS FROM THE MEMORIAL TONIGHT (just got home)

  well, as per usual, the memorial talk bored the hell out of me, but i found it, in one way to be an improvement over last years when they had the most boring speaker on the planet there http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/111544/1.ashx this guy at least knew how to speak.

  unfortunately, he didn't have much of a script to work with.. there was the mention of adam sinning and mankind needing a redeemer etc., no mention of when the israelites left egypt though.

  that's probably the first year i've ever seen where this hasn't been mentioned.

  I never really ever watched Dr Who. But last night, I had a chance to watch an entire episode on a local PBS station. And I must say, I enjoyed it very much.....Actually, it was an episode with the Daliks, and the Dr was the guy with the long Harry Potter Scarf. (sorry, I don't know the name of the Actor). That was the first time I've ever seen an episode with the Dalkis. They were searching for their creator (the same guy Clam posted a picture of earlier in this thread). I didn't realize how good this show is. I found the show wonderfully campy, humorous, and intellectual at the same time. Obey.....obey......exterminate....exterminate.......I didn't know what I was missing.....
